Myra E. Dixon, 92, of Portage, Ind., formerly of Tyrone, passed away Sept. 23, 2025. She was born in Tyrone, a daughter of the late Clarence “Stump” and Kathryn (Dillon) Williams. She married James Arthur Dixon Sr. in 1954 at Tyrone Church of the Brethren. He preceded her in death in 1981. Mary Lou Farabaugh, 91, Carrolltown, died Friday. She was born in Saint Benedict, daughter of the late George and Mary (Beverage) Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick; and sons: Louis, Wayne and Mark Farabaugh. Surviving are sons, Tim and Allen Farabaugh; a daughter, Patty Boley; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mary Lou was a graduate of John Carroll High School and a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
