Evelyn L. (Nofsker) Smith, 88, Hollidaysburg, died Wednesday. She was the daughter of Samuel Nofsker and Helen (Wysong) Nofsker Stiffler. On May 23, 1959, she married James Smith, who preceded her in death. Surviving are two brothers, Raymond Stiffler and Carl Stiffler; four nieces: Robin, Teresa, Anna Marie and Amanda; and a nephew, Christopher. John M. Hazlett, 90, Altoona, peacefully departed this life on Thursday to be reunited with his Lord and Savior. Born in Johns­town, he was the cherished son of the late Paul and Pearl (Ritchey) Hazlett. In February of 1960, John united in marriage with Alma Darlene Grove, sharing 66 years of love and companionship. She preceded him in death on May 29, 2026. He is lovingly remembered by his son, Jeff Hazlett and his wife, Jackie, of Altoona.
