He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna; a son, Lamar Johnson; and brother, James Bonner. Surviving are children: Dominic Alexander, Katwana Johnson, Danielle Alexander and Christy Elliot; five grandchildren; and a brother, Nathaniel. George was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
