Mary Kay Musselman
Aug. 6, 1952 – June 30, 2023
Mary Kay Musselman, 70, Duncansville, went to her heavenly home with her husband by her side on Friday.
She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Don and Bernice (Garis) Grace. On May 3, 1975, she married Elwood E. Musselman Jr.
She is survived by her husband; a sister, Nancy Lankard and husband, Bob, of Indiana, Pa.; two brothers, Roger Grace and wife, Polly, of Roaring Spring and Bill Grace and wife, Judy, of Somerset; two brothers-in-law, Donald P. Musselman of East
Freedom and Charles E. Musselman of Sproul; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews; and many fellow co-workers and friends.
She was preceded in death by seven siblings: Bob Grace, Lester Grace, Elsie Hoover, Lloyd Grace, Jesse Grace, infant sister Barbara Grace and an infant brother.
She was a 1970 graduate of Central High School and the LPN program at Altoona Vo-Tech. She retired from Nason Hospital with over 30 years of service and had previously been employed at The Morrisons Cove Home. She was a member of Roaring Spring Mennonite Church and had also attended services at the Homewood Chapel.
Mary Kay enjoyed sewing and quilting and she made many items for family and friends. She also enjoyed scrapbooking, traveling and spending time with her friends “who were her family.” Mary Kay attended Laurel Snyder’s Bible Study Group and had been a member of the Ladies Aide at the Roaring Spring Mennonite Church, TOPS and Weight Watchers. She also had been active in the aerobics class at the Garver YMCA.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 6, 2023, at Homewood Chapel, the Rev. Gerald McCuller officiating. Interment will be made at Greenlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mary Kay’s memory may be given to the Central PA Humane Society.
