TYRONE — Steve Monahan was the low gross winner with a 73, and Jess Davis carded a low net score of 66 to come out on top in the Sinking Valley Country Club Senior Championship.

Monahan won the 60-69 year-old flight ahead of runner-up Len DelBaggio, who shot a 76.

Ron Kustaborder won the 50-59 age group with a 74, one stroke lower than Mike Cumming.

Edward Hribik won the 70+ flight with a 78. Jeff Chestney was the runner-up seven strokes back.

Net division winners were Cumming (72 in 50-59), Davis (60-69) and Jon Bernhart (72 in 70+).

Heritage event

The Heritage Conference will hold its annual Heritage Conference Golf Outing at Tom’s Run Golf Course on Sunday, Aug. 17 with registration beginning at 8:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 10.

The event raises money for the conference to help provide enriching experiences for students in the areas of academics, athletics and the arts.
