Robert E. ‘Bob’ Wedge

Robert E. “Bob” Wedge, 78, of Altoona, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday surrounded by his loving wife of 44 years and his two children. Born in Port Huron, Mich., he was the son of the late Edward W. and Margaret E. (Beckton) Wedge. Surviving are his wife, Debra; son, Matthew (Kourtney), and grandchildren, River and Bee, of Dallas, Texas; daughter, Kelly (Stephen) Deao of Denver, Colo.; brother, Edward W. (Shellie) Wedge of Harlan, Ind.; sister-in-law, Linda of Georgetown, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard W. ...

Carla Melinda Kruis

Carla Melinda Kruis, 61, of Tyrone, formerly of Glasgow, died Tuesday at her residence. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of the late Clyde F. Jr. and Lovetta J. (Watson) Kruis. Surviving are brothers, Leslie Kruis and Barry Kruis; and her partner, Greg Maslanik, with whom she lived. She was preceded in death by her parents, a “son,” Joseph Costanzo; and a brother, Larry Kruis. Carla was a 1981 graduate of Glendale High School, had been a Mary Kay Cosmetics saleslady and a personal caregiver. There will be no viewing or services. Frances E. Benn

Frances E. Benn, 86, Hollidaysburg, died Friday. She was a daughter of the late Charles K. and Ethel (Miller) Focht. Frances was also preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Benn. Surviving are daughters: Brenda Floriano (Frank), Debora Benn and Connie Benn; a sister, Phyllis Stevens; and brother, Stephen Focht. Also surviving are four grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. All services will be private. Eileen J. (Claar) Grabill

Eileen J. (Claar) Grabill, 87, of Imler, passed away Tuesday at home. She was a daughter of the late Ira and Goldie (Feathers) Claar. She married Donald L. Grabill Sr. on May 6, 1961, in Winchester. He passed away Aug. 26, 2000. Surviving are children: Rita Lair, Dana Grabill, Debbie Grabill, Donald Jr., Darrell and David; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley Hartman; and brother, Larry Claar.
