Christine (Houtz) Traficante, 73, Altoona, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Catherine Smith and Charles E. Petrolla. Surviving are her children: David Houtz, Frankie Rodgers and Michelle; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and seven siblings. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Traficante. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

Miriam “Kim” Gwin, 90, of Altoona, entered into eternal rest Aug. 6, 2025, in Altoona. Kim was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Marie Taylor Gwin Shope and the late Robert Crawford Gwin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Clayton Gwin. She is survived by her nieces, Leslie Gwin and Lindyll Finley.
