Milton M. Miller, 74, of Hollidaysburg, peacefully passed away Wednesday evening at UPMC Altoona. Born in Altoona, he was the son of the late
Kenneth and Audrey (Emes) Miller.
Milt married Cynthia "Cindy" Leipold on June 20, 1970, at Mardorf United Methodist Church in Altoona.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Cindy; his son, Russ Miller and wife, Keren; his daughter, Melanie Kennedy and husband, Andrew; and six cherished grandchildren: Caleb Miller (Samantha), Lindsey Miller, Daniel Kennedy, Matthew Kennedy, Rachel Kennedy and Leah Kennedy. Milt is also survived by his three brothers: Charlie Miller (Rhonda), Andy Miller (Janice) and Dave Miller (Sue).
He was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Miller; and a brother, Warren Miller.
Milt was a proud 1968 graduate of Altoona High School, where he showcased his talent on the tennis court. He continued his education at Pennsylvania State University, graduating in 1972 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. He also played tennis for Penn State Altoona during his first two years of college. In 1976, he earned his master's in curriculum and instruction from Penn State.
Milt dedicated 34 years of his career to the Hollidaysburg School District as an elementary teacher and also served as the girls' tennis coach for 27 years.
He found joy and beauty in the outdoors, particularly when camping and hunting.
Milt was a faithful and deeply involved member of his church community, having attended Altoona Bible Church and, most recently, Grace Family Bible Church, Duncansville.

Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, 2025, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., 108 Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.
Additional visitation will be held from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025, at the funeral home. Pastors Stewart McClelland and James Zaebst will officiate.
