Christine M. Bender, 55, of Davidsville, formerly of Ebensburg, died Thursday. She was born in Johnstown, the daughter of Martin and Agnes (Weakland) Bender. Christine was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her mother of Davidsville; a brother, Martin Jr. and his wife, the former Jacqueline (Sloan) Bender, of Johnstown; a nephew, William (Billie Jo) Bender; and great-nephews and niece: William, Kennedy and Martin. Constant J. “Ski” Evanoski III, 80, Altoona, passed away Wednesday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in New Castle, son of the late Constant J. Jr. and Rose P. (Russo) Evanoski. Beverly Jean Hagerty, 87, died Monday evening at Graystone Manor at Bellmeade. She was born in Bellwood, a daughter of the late John B. and Luella (Foust) Focht. She married Charles Kyle Hagerty in 1955 in Altoona. He preceded her in death May 21, 2024. Surviving are three sons: Charles J. Hagerty (Gail) of Goode, Va.; Daniel L. Hagerty (Gloria) of Altoona; Rob D. Hagerty (Sherry) of Lynchburg, Va.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hagerty was a member of Grace Bible Church, Hollidaysburg.
