Allegheny Mountain Woodland Association sets picnic, educational program
The Allegheny Mountain Woodland Association will host its annual picnic, membership meeting and educational program on Saturday, June 20, at the residence of Paul Noll, 524 Noll Road, Loretto.
The featured program, “Identifying Trees and Other Plants in Our Local Woods,” will be presented by Service Forester Jeff Osborne, who will share practical tips for identifying trees, shrubs, ferns and woodland wildflowers found in local forests.
The schedule includes the annual meeting at 10:30 a.m., lunch at 11:30 a.m. and the educational program at 12:30 p.m.
The event is free and open to members, families, friends and anyone interested in Pennsylvania woodlands. A covered dish is welcome but not required.
