The Ebensburg Borough Council appointed resident Bill Link to fill a council vacancy Monday.

Link will serve the remainder of former council member Cecilia Houser’s term, which ends Dec. 31, 2027.

Houser’s resignation was approved at the March council meeting after she accepted new employment and requested to resign in order to avoid any future conflicts of interest.

The next borough council meeting will be held about 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 18, at the Ebensburg Borough office, 300 West High Street.
