Cambria County Library gets $750,000 state grant to create learning lab
The Cambria County Library was recently awarded a nearly $750,000 state grant to create a learning lab and community room.
State Rep. Frank Burns, D-Cambria, announced the $748,771 grant in a news release Monday.
The Cambria library was one of 27 across the state that received funding from a $11 million allotment from the Department of Education.
The grant comes from the Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund, established by the General Assembly in 1993. The public library portion of the program is funded by part of the state’s realty transfer tax.
