Route 22 westbound will be closed from 8 p.m. Monday, July 14, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, July 15 and Route 22 eastbound will be closed from 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, to 5 a.m. Thursday, July 17, between the Route 53-Cresson/Lilly interchange and the Route 164-Portage/Munster interchange in Cambria County.

The closures and detour will allow for the setting of beam spans on the Cooney Road bridge project in Munster Township.

For both closures, a 5-mile detour will use Route 53, Route 164 (Munster Road), and Route 2014 (Admiral Peary Highway) to channel traffic to and from U.S. 22.

Plum Contracting Inc., Pittsburgh, is the contractor for the $2.9 million project, with an anticipated completion date of October 2025.
