City man charged with impersonation
Wells accused of imitating paving company worker
A city man is accused of impersonating an employee of a paving company, court documents stated.
Arthur Wells, 42, faces one misdemeanor charge for falsely impersonating a privately employed person, the criminal complaint said.
Police said Wells allegedly agreed to resurface a client’s driveway for $500, then raised the price to $1,000 before the work was finished.
After the client paid Wells the $1,000, the client learned Wells had not worked for several years at the company he claimed he did, court documents stated.
Wells is to appear before Magisterial District Judge Paula Aigner on July 28 for a preliminary arraignment and hearing.
