Dean Patterson Automotive, 101 Pleasant Valley Blvd., has become a part of Blaise Alexander Family Dealerships.

The local business is now Blaise Alexander Chevrolet Hyundai of Altoona.

The dealership had been in the Patterson family since the 1980s.

Dean Patterson Chevrolet opened in 1988 on Logan Boulevard when Patternson purchased Montgomery Chevrolet. The business moved to the Pleasant Valley location in 1992.

Patterson added the Hyundai franchise in 1990.

Blaise Alexander opened his first dealership in Montoursville — Blaise Alexander Chverolet — in 1980.

Today, the Blaise Alexander Family Dealerships includes more than 20 dealerships in Pennsylvania, supplying 16 vehicle brands and extends north to south from Mansfield near the New York border to Greencastle near the Maryland border and east to west from Philipsburg to Hazleton.
