On Sunday, Sept. 3, the Denis T. Bozella Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Penn Cambria High School graduate Andre Marinak of Lilly. Andre will continue his learning career at Penn State University, pursuing a major in the field of Computer Science. He is the son of Glenn and Peggy Marinak. Because of the financial support that friends and relatives have provided over the years, the memorial fund in the memory of Denis T. JOHNSTOWN — The Pennsylvania Highlands Community College Foundation, in partnership with the 1889 Foundation, is looking to make a difference in the lives of local students through the reinvigorated Chef Auction fundraiser. Additional restaurants and a growing number of silent and live auction items are continuing to allow the Chef Auction to blossom as the event date nears. The Chef Auction will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 11, at the Frank J. Pasquerilla Conference Center in downtown Johnstown. LUMBER CITY — The 18th annual Glendale Education Foundation Golf Tournament was held June 9 at Eagles Ridge Golf Course, supporting the students of Glendale School District. The overall winner of the tournament with a score of 59 and the Snyder Cup was the foursome of Patrik Payne, Justin Krepps, Logen Krepps and Mike Reese.
