EBT set to host Living History Weekend
ROCKHILL FURNACE — Visitors to the East Broad Top Railroad from May 16-17 will have the chance to experience multiple eras of American history during the upcoming “EBT Goes to War” Living History Weekend.
This unique event brings together Civil War, World War I and World War II reenactors, creating an immersive, multi-era living history experience set against the backdrop of America’s oldest narrow-gauge railroad.
Throughout the weekend, guests can explore encampments, interact with reenactors and see how military life, equipment and daily routines evolved across generations. The event is designed to be both
educational and engaging for visitors of all ages.
Train rides will also be available, offering passengers the rare opportunity to experience a historic railroad while surrounded by living history spanning multiple time periods.
Located in Rockhill Furnace, the East Broad Top Railroad is a National Historic Landmark, and the Smithsonian Institution has described it as an “incomparable national treasure”.
