The Hollidaysburg Area Public Library has announced its activities for October. The library will be closed Monday, Oct. 12, in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day. The library will close at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, due to the Hollidaysburg Halloween Parade. n Canasta and Mah Jongg games are held at 11 a.m. Mondays. George and Martha Washington will visit Fort Roberdeau on Thursday, Oct. 1. Following the photo-op from 5:30 to 6 p.m., General George Washington will inspect “The Lead Mine Fort” and respond to General Daniel Roberdeau’s letter about Fort Roberdeau. Cub Scout Pack 30 of Duncansville will host an open house from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Hicks Church, 1211 Third Ave. Cub Scouts is open to any boy in kindergarten to fifth grade.
