New children’s book to appeal to all ages

The Echo City Capers children’s book series releases its ninth title recently, “The Legend of Mr. Toots: A Silent But Smelly Caper.” This “grow-into” paperback is specifically created to appeal to all ages.

“With Mr. Toots, we thought, why not make it for all ages?” said Joe Swarctz, illustrator and the creator of Echo City and its characters. “The front half of the book is heavy with illustrations, appealing to younger kids, then from the middle to the end there’s more text with the pictures, continuing the story, which we feel will appeal to older readers. We really want this book to reach everybody; it’s better to be number one-than smell like a number two!”

The ninth E.C.C. title published from the independent Easton publisher Parisian Phoenix, “The Legend of Mr. Toots: A Silent But Smelly Caper,” is part of publisher Angel Ackerman’s ‘Kittens’ imprint.

“We want our young readers and even the parents who might read to them, to have a rip-roaring fun time with our adventures and all the silliness Joe and I always fill our books with,” the writer of Mr. Toots and all the Echo City Capers books, Ralph Greco Jr., said. “Of course, we believe you’ll find a little something extra pungent about this adventure.”

Joe and Ralph will embark on their round of Pennsylvania Barnes and Noble meet-and-greet “residencies” selling and signing “The Legend of Mr. Toots: A Silent But Smelly Caper,” and all their other titles. Come the fall, the duo will also once again present their interactive assemblies to the many elementary schools they perform for.

“The Legend of Mr. Toots: A Silent But Smelly Caper” can be bought at www.echocitycapers.com, as well as Barnes & Noble and Amazon.

Starting at $2.99/week.
