The Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation hosted its annual luncheon May 7 at the Blair County Convention Center.

During the event, Mark Barnhart, owner and chairman of the board of NPC Companies, was presented with the 2026 Philanthropy Award.

In addition, the foundation recognized 127 students who received scholarships from funds managed by the foundation. In all, 201 scholarships were awarded during the event, for a combined total of $202,096.72.

The Central Pennsylvania Community Foundation manages charitable giving by helping donors maximize the impact of each gift.

Since 1998, funds managed by the foundation have awarded 2,151 students with 2,711 scholarships totalling more than $2.56 million. The foundation is at 1616 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona. For more information, call 814-944-6102 or visit https://centralpagives.org/.
