Art collection on display
The “Artists in Our Midst” exhibition showcases a diverse collection of artworks from the members of Art in Common through Jan. 19.
Art in Common is a local art collective known for their collaborative spirit and community engagement. The exhibition highlights a range of mediums and styles, reflecting the unique talents and perspectives of each artist. Visitors can expect to see a variety of contemporary works, from painting and sculpture to mixed media from artists: Michael Allison, Marianne Fyda, Helen Gorsuch, Lynn Heverly, Billie Hollen, Eric Johnson, Michael Kensinger, Janet Lantz, Daryl Lanzendorfer, George Lavanish, Anni Matsick, David McCoy, Tom Mickle, Dan Salitrik, Leslie Shelleman, Jennifer Shuey, John Skrabalak, Amy Smith, Judy Vipond, and Sharon Wall.
The Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art in Altoona is at 1210 11th Ave. and is open from noon to 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday through Sunday. While open to the public free of charge, a $5 donation is suggested to help support SAMA’s free and low-cost educational services, cultural event programming, and regional artistic exhibitions.
