Linda Margaret (Vance) Garman, 82, of Strausstown, Pa., passed away in the morning hours on Sunday, in the Wyomissing Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Charles A. and Effie A. (Eamigh) Vance.
She was the wife of Tracy S. Garman Jr.
Linda was a 1961 graduate of Altoona School District.
At a young age, Linda worked at Gable's Department Store, Puritan Sportswear, the City of Altoona Water Department, Reading Area Community College and Kelly Services. She had most recently been employed for many years as a church secretary.
Linda was a member of the Blair County Historical and Genealogical Society, Altoona High Alumni Association, a former volunteer firefighter and emergency medical responder, President and Treasurer of the Women's Aglow International Reading Chapter and President of the Berks/Schuylkill Professional Church Secretaries Association.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: T. Charles and wife, Cheryl Ann,
Garman; Shawn A. and wife, Marcy, Garman; and Alanna L. Garman; five grandchildren: Hannah; Ian and wife, Loredana; Michael; Mitchell; and Matthew; two great-grandchildren, Calvin and Ruth; and her brother, Brian A. and wife, Anita, Vance.
Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Monday, Sept. 14, 2026, at Cole Funeral Home, 402 E. Penn Ave., Robesonia. Burial will follow in Strausstown Cemetery.
