Joan M. Detterbeck

Joan M. Detterbeck, 95, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Saturday at Presbyterian Village of Hollidaysburg. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Donald J. and Wilda (Brumbaugh) Kimes. She was twice married: first to Walter Gampe in 1952, and later to George V. Detterbeck in 1976, who preceded her in death in 2003. She retired after many years as a hairdresser. Donald Allen Wertman

Donald Allen Wertman, 75, of Waynesboro, Va., passed away peacefully on Sunday. He was born in McKee, the son of Joseph and Ruth (Black) Wertman. He attended the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf and later graduated from Penn Technical Institute in Pittsburgh. Following his education, Don accepted a position with General Electric in Waynesboro, Va., where he enjoyed a dedicated career until his retirement.
