Colton I. Anderson, 9, Shamong, N.J., passed away peacefully on Oct. 13, 2026, with his family by his side.
He was born in Philadelphia, the son of Renee Tower-Anderson and Robert Anderson. He was the dear brother of Vivian Tower and Caleb Tower; grandson to Joyce (George) Petrina and Rachelle Tower; and nephew to Sherrie Wolford and Brian Anderson. Colton will be dearly missed by his caregivers, Robbin Dean (Mom 2) and Tanya Garrett (Mom 3); his cousins; and the many other people whose lives he touched.
Colton was met in Heaven by his grandfathers, Vernon Anderson and Robert Tower; and great-grandparents: Dale and Monta Jean Beery and Russell and Vivian Tower.
Colton was a ray of light to everyone he met. Even though he was nonverbal, his energy and enthusiasm were always apparent. He didn't have to say a word for you to know when he was happy or when he was giving you an attitude. He absolutely loved Marvel movies and could watch them on repeat. Iron Man, Spider-Man, Hulk and Black Widow were among his favorites. He loved cuddling with his dogs, Dolly, Roscoe and Ellie, and watching the movie Cars. Mylar balloons were his favorite, and he could often be found playing with them. Music was important to Colton, and he truly connected with it. He loved when Dad would set off fireworks in the yard, and his stuffed giraffe, Jefferey, was always by his side.
