Joan M. Detterbeck, 95, of Hollidaysburg, passed away Saturday at Presbyterian Village of Hollidaysburg. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Donald J. and Wilda (Brumbaugh) Kimes.
She was twice married: first to Walter Gampe in 1952, and later to George V. Detterbeck in 1976, who preceded her in death in 2003.
She retired after many years as a hairdresser. Joan enjoyed attending the Puzzletown Road Bible Church.
Joan is survived by two sons, Donald J. Gampe of Altoona and Scott A. Gampe (Cindy) of Duncansville; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a stepdaughter, Rebecca Bosserman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a special cousin, Nancy Tyler.
In accordance with Joan's wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral service.
Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc. and Alto-Reste Park, Altoona.
