Wallace L. “Wally” Brubaker, 85, Duncansville, died Saturday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Nelson and Josephine (Riley) Brubaker. He married Ethel M. Dryburg, who preceded him in death on May 1, 1992. Michael J. ‘Red’ Deyarmin Sr.

Michael J. “Red” Deyarmin Sr., 56, Altoona, died Friday. He was born in Altoona son of the late Robert and Dolores Deyarmin. He married Karen Shauf who preceded him in death in 2007. Surviving are his son, Michael Jr. (Sierra); grandchildren, Rose and Roland; and a sister, Linda Walter. He was a 1987 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School. Red was a life member of Allegheny Township Fire Department-Canan Station. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Services are private at Sorge Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hollidaysburg.

Willis R. ‘Will’ Hockenberry

Willis R. “Will” Hockenberry, 82, Altoona, died Wednesday. He was born in Lewistown, son of the late Josephine (Tubbs) Funk and stepfather, Michael Funk. Surviving are children: Eric and Adam Hockenberry and Heather Franell; and grandchildren: Eric, Nicholas, Issac and Sarah. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Nathaniel; a brother; and a sister. Will was a U.S. Navy veteran. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, in the Stevens Memorial Chapel.

Douglas C. Kelly

Douglas C. Kelly, 73, Johnstown, formerly of Altoona, passed away Saturday morning at Hilltop Heights Health and Rehab Center, Johnstown. He was born in Buffalo, N.Y., son of the late James A. and M. Frances (Hill) Kelly. He is survived by his brother, Michael (Barbara), of Ithaca, N.Y. Douglas was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He retired as a clerk for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or services. Arrangements are by The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave. Altoona.
