A. Pauline “Polly” Grace, 76, of Roaring Spring, passed away Wednesday. She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Roy E. Sr. and Anna R. (Miller) Jewell. Surviving are her husband, Roger Grace; daughters, Anna Heidler and husband, Ron, and Lisa Karacz, all of Roaring Spring; granddaughter, Melissa Heidler; and sisters, Sandra Norris of Roaring Spring and Barbara Jewell of Martinsburg. Delbert E. “Screech” Hamer, 87, of Tyrone, passed away Wednesday. He was born in Tyrone, the son of the late Pearl H. Beckwith. He was married Jan. 1, 1961, to Bonnie L. (Rossman) Hamer, who survives in Tyrone. Also surviving are his son, Michael T. Hamer (Kimberly) of Warriors Mark; his grandchildren, Alyssa A. Stroup (Dusty) and Emily E. Zitterbart (Jared); and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen P. Price; and several half-brothers and sisters. Delbert was the last of his immediate family. Gerald B. “Jerry” Hymes, 86, of Hollidaysburg, formerly of Altoona, passed away Thursday morning, June 26, 2025, at Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg. Gail B. Kinney, 86, of Antis Township, died early Wednesday morning at her home. She was born in Tyrone, daughter of the late Geo E. and Mary (Ellenberger) Davis. Surviving are her husband, Ralph C. Jr.; and three daughters: Karen D. Smith, Donna J. Stoltz and Sharon R. Edevane. To honor Gail’s wishes, there will be no viewing, visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are by Jon C.
