Judge delays decision on influencer brothers
MIAMI -- Social media influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate have taken the stand in federal court, arguing they can't defend themselves from sex charges while jailed in Miami. They face extradition to the United Kingdom on rape and trafficking charges and other sex charges in Romania.
The judge did not make a decision after an eight-hour hearing Thursday.

No verdict yet after Clancy deliberations
PLYMOUTH -- Jurors in the Lindsay Clancy trial have ended a second day of deliberations without a verdict. Clancy is on trial to determine whether she was responsible for her actions when she killed her three children in 2023.
The jury began deliberating Thursday afternoon and met again Friday. They'll be back Monday morning.

Officials in the southern Kherson region warn of a tough winter with potential power outages and advise residents to relocate.

Ebola outbreak spreads to 2 new areas
BUNIA -- Congo government figures show that the fastest-growing Ebola outbreak in history has spread to two new health zones in eastern Congo. A total of 60 zones are now affected.
The two new zones affected are Biena and Manguredjipa in Congo's North Kivu province. The case fatality rate there is much higher than the overall rate of 48% due in part to delayed response efforts.
