Funeral home stored bodies improperly
CHICAGO -- Authorities have found over 50 bodies improperly stored at a Chicago funeral home. The remains were discovered Thursday in various states of decomposition at South Chicago Chapel.
Illinois state officials have suspended the license of one of the funeral home's directors, alleging bodies were kept in an unrefrigerated area in deplorable conditions.

Voters oust lawmaker backed by Trump
MEMPHIS -- Former Tennessee Agriculture Commissioner Charlie Hatcher has defeated Congressman Andy Ogles in a Republican primary. Ogles' defeat marks a rare rejection of a candidate endorsed by President Donald Trump.
Voters also chose two Memphis area lawmakers -- Republican state Sen. Brent Taylor and Democratic state Rep. Justin Pearson -- to face off in a reconfigured district. The primaries test a new U.S. House map redrawn by Republican state lawmakers.

Russian warehouse hit by Ukrainian drones
Ukrainian long-range drones have hit a warehouse in the Ural Mountains belonging to Russia's largest online retailer.
The site of the attack, reported Friday, is more than 1,200 miles from the border.

Student kills at least 5 people at high school
NONTHABURI -- A student shot several people at a high school outside Bangkok, killing at least five and wounding several others.
Deputy Interior Minister Polapee Suwunchwee says five school staff members died on Friday. The shooter earlier killed his two grandparents at home before going to the school with a gun authorities said belonged to the shooter's grandfather. Officials say the student gunman then took his own life.
