Outpatient center awarded accreditation

The Conemaugh East Hills Outpatient Center in Johnstown was awarded a three-year term of accreditation in computed tomography after a review was performed by The American College of Radiology.

CT scans are crucial to the diagnosis of a patient, as it can detect fractures, tumors, heart disease, or many other serious internal injuries. Experts of CT scans and medical imaging, such as board certified physicians and medical physicists evaluate the facility on their image quality and patient safety.

The award only goes to facilities meeting ACR Practice Parameters and Technical Standards after a peer-review.
