Big names stand in way of Dublers

By Todd Irwin sports@altoonamirror.com If Glendale brothers Zeke and Suds Dubler pull off back-to-back titles at the Southwest Regional Class 2A Tournament, like they did at the District 6 Tournament, they’ll send shockwaves across the state. Both Vikings have returning state champions looming on the other side of the bracket at 160 and 172 pounds, respectively. By Todd Irwin sports@altoonamirror.com Three area wrestlers — two from Altoona and another from Hollidaysburg — were named No. 1 seeds for the District 6 Class 3A Tournament at the zoom seeding meeting on Tuesday night. Altoona senior Luke Hileman (28-3) was announced as the top seed at 106, while freshman star Luke Sipes (28-1) is the No. 1 seed at a four-man 152 pounds. Hollidaysburg senior Aaron Sleeth (21-11) is the top seed at 172. There is no Blair County second or third seeds, but Altoona’s Will Young (145) and Connor Reimer (189) are fourth seeds. ...
