Berlin hands Lady Bulldogs softball first defeat of season

CLAYSBURG — In high school softball on Monday, Berlin Brothersvalley scored the game-winning run on an error in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat Claysburg-Kimmel, 5-4, in a game that Berlin was the home team despite weather forcing the game to be moved to Claysburg.
The loss was the Lady Bulldogs’ first in 12 games.
C-K led 4-0 going into the bottom of the second inning, but managed just two hits as Berlin outscored the Bulldogs 5-0 the rest of the way.
Savanna Crissman had both hits for C-K, and McKenna Black drove in a run.
