Lady Bulldogs softball take advantage of Tussey
H.S. softball
CLAYSBURG — The Claysburg-Kimmel High School softball team opened its season Thursday with a 6-1 win over Tussey Mountain in high school play.
Jaylee Swindell had two of C-K’s three, taking advantage of eight Tussey Mountain errors and two walks. Teammate McKenna Black had an RBI while Harlee Harclerode scored twice.
Winning pitcher Launa Musselman scattered four hits, struck out five and walked four.

WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg managed one run and six hits in an 8-1 season-opening loss to Moshannon Valley.
Katie Ross, who struck out eight and walked one as the losing pitcher, smacked drove in the lone run for the Lady Blue Pirates, while Katie Merritts smacked two hits.
