According to Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School girls soccer coach Joe DeLeo, sophomore forward Hailey DeGol is the consummate team player — but sometimes, at her own expense. “Hailey has always been extremely talented, but we’ve been working on her becoming more assertive on the field,’’ DeLeo said. “She tends to involve her teammates in scoring chances when she should be taking the shots herself. BELLEVILLE — The Great Commission School boys soccer team defeated Blair County Christian in the fifth-place game Friday, 4-3 in a double overtime penalty shootout, at the ACAA Soccer Tournament held at Belleville Mennonite. It was the first time in six years that the Bears have beaten the Bobcats. The Bears won the shootout, 3-2, after it was tied at 3-3 at the end of regulation. ROARING SPRING — Central forward Lakkyn Dibert led the Lady Dragons over Huntingdon with a hat trick and got assists by Carli Hart, Addison Long, and Kira Trexler in a 6-4 win Thursday in high school girls soccer play.
