Inter-County Conference football list filled with local players

The Inter-County Conference released its high school football all-star team on Tuesday and several local players were selected. Six Juniata Valley players, five players each from Claysburg-Kimmel and Glendale and four players from Northern Bedford made the first team. The Green Hornets landed Andrew Clark (RB), Jett Rand (ATH), Elah Glenny (WR), Matt Dick (OL), Logan Harpster (DL) and Trenton Norris (ATH) on the North team. MECHANICSBURG — It was the same round of the PIAA playoffs, same location, the same team and the same result for the second year in a row for Hollidaysburg. Against a team filled with Division I talent seemingly everywhere, Hollidaysburg was outmatched against Roman Catholic out of Philadelphia. State College football team unable to keep up with Vikes in loss

Friday night’s PIAA Class 6A quarterfinal between State College and Central Catholic started as even as it could be through the first quarter. However, following a D’Antae Sheffey touchdown which tied the game for the Little Lions, the ensuing kickoff didn’t get enough depth, setting the Vikings up with a short field.
