For the second year in a row, the final two remaining football teams from the Mirror's coverage area are Bishop Guilfoyle Academy and Penn Cambria.
The teams will both try and punch their tickets to their respective PIAA championship games on Friday at 7 p.m.
The Marauders will travel to John H. Frederick Field at Memorial Park in Mechanicsburg to take on District 12 champion Belmont Charter in the first meeting ever held between the two schools.
The winner of that game will play either WPIAL champion Clairton or District 10 champion Greenville in the Class 1A state final at Cumberland Valley High School on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 1 p.m.
In Class 3A, the PIAA semifinal will be a rematch of last year. Penn Cambria will travel west to play WPIAL champion Avonworth at Indiana High School.
The winner will play either District 3 champion Trinity or District 11 champion Northwestern Lehigh in the state championship Saturday, Dec. 6 at 1 p.m. -- also at Cumberland Valley.
Avonworth won last year's game, 16-6, before losing to Northwestern Lehigh in overtime in the state championship game.
Altoona's Mansion Park will play host to two PIAA semifinal games on Saturday.
At 1 p.m., District 3 champion Bishop McDevitt will play its second game in Altoona this year (it beat Altoona, 38-0, on Sept. 26) against WPIAL champion Peters Township in a Class 5A game.
In Class 6A later that night, District 3 champion Harrisburg will play WPIAL champion Pittsburgh Central Catholic at 7.
In nearby Mifflin County, the Huskies will host a Class 4A semifinal game when Aliquippa plays Twin Valley Friday at 7 p.m.
