Heights’ Jasper named all-state in football

From Mirror reports Cambria Heights senior defensive lineman Garrett Jasper was selected to the Pa. Football Writers All-State team in Class 2A on Saturday. Jasper helped the Highlanders win the District 6 Class 2A championship, their second district title in as many years. Bedford’s Quincy Swaim also made the team as an athlete and helped the Bisons win District 5 before they lost to eventual PIAA champion Troy in the state playoffs. The Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference released its All-Conference high school football teams for both the east and west, featuring players from several area teams.
