NBC baseball picks up milestone victory in first game

NEW ENTERPRISE — Northern Bedford claimed the 700th baseball win in school history with a 13-9 victory over Southern Huntingdon Thursday in high school action.

Kolson Feather smacked two hits and scored three times for the Panthers, Nevin Lloyd came through with two hits, while Jordan Free and Trace Baker posted two RBIs apiece.

Tigers triumph

HOLLIDAYSBURG — Winning pitcher Vince Boland tossed a three-hitter with six strikeouts through five innings of work for Hollidaysburg in a 9-4 victory over Philipsburg-Osceola.

Mason Mierley delivered two hits, drove in two runs and scored twice for the Golden Tigers, while Cole Hartman pushed across two runs.

Bulldogs win big

CLAYSBURG — Claysburg-Kimmel erupted for seven runs combined in the fifth and sixth innings en route to an 11-1 victory over Tussey Mountain.

Winning pitcher Gavin Treon struck out eight, and helped himself out at the plate with three hits and two runs scored.

Mason Campagna collected two hits and two RBIs for the Bulldogs, while Paydden Knisely and Ayden Soler delivered two hits apiece.
