Clearfield takes home top honor

CRESSON — Clearfield’s score of 153 was the lowest of four high school girls golf teams competing in a nine-hole match at the Summit Country Club on Thursday, and Rowen Mattern had a medalist score of 48. Bishop Guilfoyle Academy finished second and went 2-1 with a score of 164 led by Eva Bagley’s 51. Hollidaysburg teams win

Hollidaysburg won both the boys and girls team titles in the Bishop Guilfoyle Academy/Park Hills High School Golf Invitational on Thursday. Brody Partner-Gore shot a 76 for the Hollidaysburg boys, and Tyler Steiner shot a 78 in helping the Tigers register a 319 score in the 13-team stroke play tourney.
