Central balance leads to victory

BELLWOOD — After the first quarter ended in a tie, Central used the second and third stanzas to pull completely away from Bellwood-Antis in a 59-29 rout Monday night in boys high school basketball.

Christian Heuston was tops for three Dragons in double figures with 14, while Eli Muthler collected 12 and Jesse Muthler posted 11.

Jackson Dorminy drilled three 3-pointers to total 13 points for the Blue Devils.

Bulldogs cruise

CLAYSBURG — After losing by 20 points at Mount Union, Claysburg-Kimmel flipped things around with a 51-point swing in the second matchup as the Bulldogs led from the start in a 57-26 pounding of the Trojans.

Brayden Haney knocked down four 3-pointers en route to 32 points as the Bulldogs jumped out to a 16-2 edge after one quarter.

CURWENSVILLE — In a tight battle, Williamsburg and Curwensville needed overtime to decide the winner, and unfortunately the Blue Pirates were outscored by seven in the extra session of a 75-68 loss.

Logan Brantner led Williamsburg with 16 points, Ethan Reffner hit for 15 and Preston Isenberg registered 12 — all on 3-pointers.

Davis Fleming pumped in a game-high 43 points for the Golden Tide.
