Sexual allegations made against ex-Big Ten coach

The Associated Press OMAHA, Neb. — Former Nebraska women’s basketball assistant coach Chuck Love denied ever having a sexual relationship with former Cornhuskers player Ashley Scoggin but acknowledged in a court document that he did meet with her late at night in a Lincoln parking lot. Scoggin in February filed a civil lawsuit in U.S. District Court describing how Love allegedly took a special interest in her and saying the relationship turned sexual and caused Scoggin to fear retaliation if she refused to engage in it. Star PSU defender charged with assault

From Mirror, wire reports Penn State defensive end Abdul Carter, 20, was charged Wednesday with misdemeanor simple assault and a summary count of harassment. According to statecollege.com, Carter was in an altercation with a tow truck driver when the driver began to tow his vehicle just after midnight March 16. Carter was allegedly parked in the Aspen State College apartment complex without a permit. Carter is alleged to have thrown the tow truck driver to the ground during the altercation. Rice, a 6-foot-8 guard, comes to Penn State with three seasons of eligibility remaining. Lambert-Smith was a huge part of the passing game early in the season, but was largely phased out in the last few games after offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich was fired after the Michigan game.
