Altoona’s Tanner Stroup leads Mainline Pharmacy in AAABA tournament

JOHNSTOWN — Altoona Area High School product Tanner Stroup enjoyed a monster game in helping Johnstown AAABA League champ Mainline Pharmacy dominate New York, 13-3, in seven innings in the national tournament at Sargent’s Stadium at the Point on Monday night. Stroup went 3-for-4 with two triples and five RBIs for Mainline, while Xander Richardson went 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs. PITTSTON — Hollidaysburg saw its run end in the Little League Baseball 12U Pennsylvania State Tournament on Saturday with a 9-3 loss to East Side of West Chester. Hollidaysburg finished 2-2 in the double-elimination tournament with both losses coming to East Side.
