CRESSON — John Dziabo and Quintin Dziabo scored 40 points to take first place in Flight A in the Summit Country Club’s Father’s Day Tournament.

A two-player scramble with a point system was used for scoring.

David DeGol Sr. and David DeGol Jr. were second with 34 points.

John Dziabo and Joe Dziabo won Flight B with 30 points over Tony Mignogna and Sam Mignogna, who were one point back.

Mike and Ryen Myers won Flight C with 26 points, and Denny Storm and Brent Hoover were second with 24 points.

In Flight D, Rick and Ally Slebodnik won the title with 18 points ahead of Oscar and Kendall McConnell.

Bob Rabatin, Mike Dunmyer and Ryen Myers won skill prizes.

In other action, Tim Thomas, Jeff Thomas, Matt Warholic and Ben Thomas shot a 54 to win the St. Augustine’s Church Benefit Outing Scramble.

Rick Holtz, Bev Holtz, Steve Holtz and Brett Smith carded a 57 to finish as the runner-up.

Rose Storm, Brady Eckenrode, Gregory Caldwell and Denny Michina Sr. shot a 58 to finish third.

Tyler Oakes, Steve Dupirack, Eric Gassmyer, Steve Oyler and Pat Hoover won skill prizes.

Sylvan Hills

HOLLIDAYSBURG — Mike Smith, Margie Coho, Lisa Michelone and Molly Goldstein won a card-off to win Sylvan Hills’ Jack & Jill Scramble with a 36.

Herb Bolger, Paul Conway, Carole Laiche and Nancy Vaughn also shot a 36.

The team of David Johns, Dave McCoy, Lynn Durbin and Sandy Murphy won a card-off to finish third one stroke back.

In the Butch Focht senior men’s tournament, the team of Jim Burke, Jeff Vaughn, Bill Blanset and Kevin Williams shot a 33 to win first place.

John Roland, Gary Zimmerman and Johns were second after a card-off with a 35, and Tom Shea, Lynn Grove, Bolger and Don Stubbs were third.

Holes-in-one

TYRONE — Tim Keech made a hole-in-one at Sinking Valley Country Club on No. 2 hitting off the gold tees with a 7-iron on Friday.

Keech was playing with Craig Dutrow, Mark Lynn and Ken Gallagher.

That same day, Seth Smith made a hole-in-one on No. 10 playing off the white tees with a pitching wedge.

Smith was playing with Damian Williams, Greg Ferguson and Drew Brennan.
