DeRubeis leads Pro Fab

ASHVILLE — Pro Fab Solutions scored five runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back in a 9-1 victory over Blair County Oil in Greater Altoona City League action.

Joey DeRubeis paced Pro Fab with a four-hit night, which included two runs scored and an RBI. Lance Westover went 3 for 4 and knocked in three runs, while Mark Mento drove in two more runs.

Mason Gearhart tossed six innings to get the win, allowing one earned run on three hits, walking four and whiffing eight.

Matt Duppstadt doubled for Blair County Oil.

Imler’s Poultry led 4-2 after six innings, but Martella’s Pharmacy scored five times in the top of the seventh to win, 7-4, at Vets Field in a AAABA game.

Gavin Fowler had two hits, including a triple, for Imler’s. Jon Stroup and Nick Kraft also had two hits apiece.

Brandon McClure pitched a complete game, allowing six earned runs on 11 hits and didn’t walk a batter. He struck out four.

Colby Rearick and Owen McDermott both had three hits to lead Martella’s Pharmacy.

JOHNSTOWN — Alexander Financial Group grabbed an early lead before giving up three runs in the fifth inning to Mainline Pharmacy in a 4-3 loss at Point Stadium.

Matt Gutshall, who doubled, and Owen Dombrowsky collected two hits each for Alexander Financial, which led 3-1 going into the bottom of fifth.
