Penn State Altoona baseball’s senior outfielder Zach Ingold was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference’s Player of the Week for the second time in his collegiate career.

Ingold had a strong week at the plate as the Penn State Altoona baseball team won all three conference games against Pitt-Greensburg.

In a 20-2 single-game win, the senior went 4-for-5 with two home runs, three RBIs, and three runs scored. In the first game of a weekend twinbill, Ingold went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, a double and one run scored. He followed that up by going 3-for-6 with three RBIs, a double, a home run and three runs scored.

Iron Masters winners

ROARING SPRING — The team of Dave Snyder and Charlie Ball combined to shoot a 63 to win the Derby Day Golf Tournament held at the Iron Masters Country Club.

Tied for second at 65 were the teams of Chip Will and Jess Reighard, along with Ken Emigh and Mark Nycum. There was also a tie for fourth at 66 between the teams of Steve Beach and Bud Smith, along with Anthony Musselman and Mike Emerick.
