WASHINGTON, Pa. — Altoona Area High School graduate Adalynn Cherry led the Washington & Jefferson College women’s basketball team to the 2025 Presidents’ Athletic Conference Tournament championship on Saturday.

Cherry was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player after she scored 19 points in the championship game, a 59-50 victory over Chatham University. She was 7-of-14 from the field and collected seven rebounds and two assists.

Cherry has started all 27 games this season and averages 8.9 points and 5.3 rebounds. She leads the team with 47 3-pointers. She has scored 835 points in her four-year career.

W&J (23-4 overall) earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
