Curve unveil logo for ’23 anniversary

The Altoona Curve, Double-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, released their new logo Tuesday that celebrate 25 seasons of Curve baseball at Peoples Natural Gas Field in 2023. The logo features a silver and red design representing the team’s silver season and the team’s signature red theme showing the organization’s driving passion for winning and success on and off the field. The ribbons on the logo display numbers from the team’s previous and current uniform designs above an outline of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania that features many of the popular elements of baseball ...

Lots to love about Curve this season

The Curve compiled an overall record of 71-66. They went 33-36 in the first half of the Eastern League season, then played much better in the second half, going 38-30, but still missed out on the playoffs. Curve set SB mark in finale

Henry Davis stole third base in the eighth inning to set the Altoona Curve’s single-season team stolen base record as Altoona fell in the season finale to Reading, 9-8, on Sunday at PNG Field. Davis’s stolen base was the 160th of the season for the Curve, passing the mark set in 2014 for the most in team history. From Mirror reports Nick Gonzales and Henry Davis both launched home runs off Phillies top prospect Andrew Painter in the first inning as Altoona defeated Reading, 5-1, on Friday night at PNG Field. Entering the game, Painter had been statistically one of the best pitchers in Minor League Baseball.
