PSU women rout Yale

UNIVERSITY PARK –Driven by double-digit scoring performances from sophomore guard Kiyomi McMiller, redshirt junior center Gracie Merkle and redshirt junior guard Moriah Murray, the Penn State women’s basketball team rolled to its fourth consecutive non-conference home victory with an 82-64 win over the Yale Bulldogs on Sunday inside Rec Hall.

The Lady Lions improved to 6-1 overall and have won each of their last four non-conference home games dating to the start of the 2025-26 campaign.

McMiller led the way for PSU with 19 points and also contributed a team-high six assists. Merkle poured in 18 points on a 9-for-10 performance from the field, while Murray logged 18 points, highlighted by a 50 percent effort from beyond the arc.

The PSU women are off until next Saturday when they host Nebraska at the Bryce Jordan Center at 1 p.m.

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — Saint Francis ended the Turkey Tipoff Tournament hosted by Iona with a 69-46 loss to Maine in the consolation game on Saturday in women’s basketball.

Sonia Sato paced the Red Flash with 10 points, and Aleah James chipped in nine points. For the second-straight game, Bati Assefa hauled in seven boards.

Adrianna Smith had a triple double for Maine with 19 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists.
