I’m writing to respectfully ask you to join me on May 20, in voting for Lou Schmitt for Judge of the Court of Common Pleas in Blair County. Over the years I’ve gotten to know Lou and I respect the man that he is today. The qualities one looks for in a candidate for the Court of Common Pleas judge should be integrity, patience, compassion and a strong understanding of the law. Their view of American history provides them comfort to hold onto a fringe viewpoint, which leads them to believe they are more enlightened than those Americans who actually research history for answers. I used to be a relatively happy, satisfied and content person, but all that has changed along with the way our country has changed. The economy is worse than ever and most likely nearing a recession. Prices are high and will probably go much higher especially if these absurd tariffs are instituted. Many agencies of the government are being gutted under the guise of eliminating fraud, waste and abuse. How much have they really saved?
