The Democrats certainly possess the uncanny ability to consistently find solace in their perspective regarding historical events. Their view of American history provides them comfort to hold onto a fringe viewpoint, which leads them to believe they are more enlightened than those Americans who actually research history for answers. A couple of examples of the absolute distortion of history by the Democrats is warranted.
At the time of the vote for passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Al Gore's father voted against passage of this act. In fact, he filibustered against it. Sen. Albert Gore Sr.'s vote against this act was a defense of the status quo of racial segregation and disenfranchisement. Undeniably, this was an attempt to uphold segregation and discriminatory practices which were denied to African Americans. This was an attempt to impede progress toward racial equality and social justice.
Let us not forget another shining example of racist behavior from Woodrow Wilson.
Wilson was responsible for the creation of a "program" which was designed to deny African Americans roles and opportunities in the workplace, to wit, the Postal Service. This scheme effectively immortalized a racial hierarchy.
In light of the two above accurate historical events, Democrats should reconsider their nonfactual and unfounded attacks against the present administration's efforts to reduce the national debt.
To be quite candid, based upon the last general election cycle, respected polling firms determined President Donald Trump received more votes from the Hispanic and African American communities than Kamala Harris. I may be just spitballing here, but the American people continue to see what was behind the curtain of the Democratic party and they did not like what they saw.
